We are hobby breeders of all mutations color chinchillas located in
Central Florida
in Orlando, Altamonte Springs, and Clermont. Please look
at our chins for sale (CLICK on CHINS FOR SALE) and contact me, Lyn
Shuster (Lyn's Chins), about any of these chins at LASMD925@aol.com
with subject line "CHINS"
or 407-894-4070.

THIS WEBSITE WAS UPDATED MAY 20, 2012.

Although we do not ship chinchillas,  I sometimes travel on the I-95
corridor between Florida and North Carolina so might deliver a chin to
you that way.  All CFC breeders are in the center of Florida.

ANNOUNCING:  Our next SEC Chapter Chinchilla show will be November
10, 2012 in Rock Hill SC, Judge Jim Ritterspach.  Here is a picture of the
show venue, the Ramada Inn on Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC....

And here is an alternative hotel, right down the street and also pet
friendly...

There are other nearby hotels, including a Microtel and a Hilton Garden
Inn....stay wherever but come to the show!!

HERE are FINLEY and MERLIN, two boys bought by Laura and Brian--not
too spoiled rotten at their new house, are they??  YOU CAN TRY IT
YOURSELF!

NOW some folks want to come by and choose their chin that way--here
is EMILY who picked violet boy EVAN for her birthday last year and looks
pretty happy with her choice.

SHADOW and BANDIT, adopted by Leanne and Brandon in Mobile, AL,
and just look below at all the "stuff" these two have (see the tube and
hammock to the left).

Please contact me at LASMD925@aol.com with a subject line "CHINS"
or 407-894-4070, but email is generally faster. ASK for my "Chin Facts"
for info about all things chin.

Other breeders on this website are:
Patty Moyerman, Patty's Chins in Clermont, and Mauricio Gucailo,
Altamonte Chins, in Altamonte Springs.
WE ARE PROUD MEMBERS of the MCBA (Mutation Chinchilla Breeders
Association) which you can visit at www.mutationchinchillas.com.

OK, want to get a pretty good CHIN STARTER CAGE for pretty cheap??
Check this one out, from Tractor Supply (the only one in the Orlando area
is on Highway 50, in Bithlo, near Chuluota Road)--it is a "cage special"
for a rabbit but honestly would work for a chin--pull out pan, wire
platform above that you can take out, food bowl (but not very heavy),
plastic water bottle, hanging wood chew--all AOK--Carefresh litter NOT
ok, rabbit food might be ok, packet of hay ok--all for $40.

NOW, you are going to need a "house" of some kind, and the cage could
use Leaping/Sleeping ledge shelves, which are hard to find these days
(try ChinWorld.com), and a chin-chiller tile or two would be good if you
leaving the wire mesh bottom in there (you can't see it well in the above
picture)--a wheel is also a good idea, and the one below you CAN get in if
you take out the wire mesh and pull the bottom down a bit (mesh wheel
sold at PetSupermarket)...so if you want a cheap starter cage before you
decide how much you want to REALLY spend on your sweetie, this is a
good choice.  I'll try to keep one on hand for those of you who can't get to
Tractor supply....
